MIDDLEVILLE, MI — Middleville Tool & Die Co., a West Michigan manufacturer that provides stamped parts to the automotive and office furniture industries, has been purchased by Southeast Michigan-based private investment firm Green Light Growth Partners.

As a result of the acquisition, Middleville Tool & Die Co. is being renamed Middleville Engineered Solutions (MES). The company is located at 1900 Patterson Road in Yankee Springs Township, about 26 miles southeast of Grand Rapids.

“We’re excited to work with MES and further leverage their engineering-centric approach to drive accelerated growth,” said Josh Schulze, managing partner at Green Light Growth Partners (GLGP).

The company has about 150 employees and was founded in 1966, said William Blanton, president and CEO of Middleville Engineered Solutions. He said there are no planned layoffs or changes to the company’s mission or priorities following the sale.

He declined to provide the terms of the sale.

“We are confident that GLGP is the right investment group to support the next phase of our growth trajectory,” Blanton said.

Middleville Engineered Solutions is a metal stamping company, with about 80% of its work focused on the auto industry and much of the remainder focused on the office furniture sector.
